JD Sports International Women’s Day 2026 – In Motion
This International Women’s Day, we turned #GiveToGain into action.
On 2 March, JD hosted IN MOTION. An intimate film festival spotlighting female-identifying filmmakers from across Australia and New Zealand. What began as an open call became a packed cinema of bold, personal and culture-shifting stories, screened live at Palace Central Park in Sydney.
Ten short films. One community. Real momentum.

More than a screening, the night was built to create a space and platform for creative ownership, giving filmmakers visibility, audience connection and tangible support. Guests walked the pink carpet, found JD duffle bags waiting on their seats, and settled in for a back-to-back showcase of work spanning documentary, dance, experimental, fashion and music video.
Following the screenings, a live panel moderated by Ellie Kaloutsis invited the directors to reflect on thier films, craft, community and what #GiveToGain means within their journeys. The audience then voted live for the $2,000 AUD Audience Choice Prize.
