Previously reserved for the basketball talents of the University of North Carolina (and a dream for the rest of us), Jordan Brand blesses the masses with a wider release of the Air Jordan 3 “UNC”. Following on from the recent ‘Red Cement’ launch of the Air Jordan III, this colour-way pays homage to Michael Jordan’s UNC Tar Heel alma mater. Arriving just in time for the frenzy that is March Madness, prayers will be answered with this must have release.
With UNC colour-ways used on other Jordan silhouettes such as the Jordan 1, Jordan 9, Jordan 10 and Jordan 11, the UNC colour-scheme has become synonymous with Jordan Brand. The tastefully clean palette makes its mark with ‘Valor Blue’ accents at the tongue logos, heel moulds and heightened lace loops, whilst the pristine white tumbled leather keeps a crisp aesthetic. Maintaining it’s signature elephant print scheme at the toe and heel, the traditional grey touch is matched with a light grey outsole. Jordan heads will notice that this non-PE version does not boast the UNC branded tongues that have been shared by the team’s players past. Finished with a Jumpman heel logo, this colourway has been a long time waiting for Jordan heads.
Landing at JD sports on the 7th of March, stay tuned for full release information as the launch date draws near.
