adidas rings in the new year going hard from the outset, with the launch of the adidas Ultra Boost “Chinese New Year” (also referred to as “CNY”) and “Multicolour”. With 2018 seeing BOOST being introduced to sneakers both new and old, 2019 sees two of the most popular colour-way lineages of the Ultra BOOST arriving on the 4.0.


With the New Year upon us, this only means that the Chinese lunar New Year is just around the corner. With the previous ‘CNY’ colour-ways being some of the most desired styles of the BOOST behemoth, this year’s is no exception. With a little help from renowned contemporary artist Ren Zhe, this year’s collection celebrates the Year of the Pig. Recruiting a knitted black and white contrast upper, the lace cage is painted black with traditional red stripes landing atop the unit. With an unmistakable white BOOST underfoot cushioning system, the Continental rubber outsole delivers reliable traction to see you through the years to come. Featuring a special edition tongue tag featuring the adidas logo and “Ren Zhe” branding, doesn’t matter which calendar you run with, these translate to any collection.


Also making a return to the adidas line-up for 2019, the ‘Multicolour’ colour arrives in two iterations for the BOOST loyal. Arriving in both a black and white, these are armed with Primeknit uppers, with intricately woven multicolour hues. Featuring a rubberized logo patch at the padded tongue and rubberized signature stripes at the lace cage, both styles sport a signature white boost rubber midsole with white plaque at the heel counter. Complete with treaded rubber Continental outsole, these are a must add to the collection to get your year started right.
